97.5 KLAK is proud to recognize Judy Putney, from Jasper High School, as our 2007 December Teacher of the Month!

Ms. Putney has taught grades 9 and 10 for the last 28 years and has taught 11 years in her current position. She currently holds degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University (BFA & MA), and is a member of the Texas Choral Directors Association, Texas Music Educators Association, Jasper PTSA, Association of Texas Prof. Educators and TMAA.

Judy has won the Jasper Teacher of the Year for 2007 and has been recognized in Who's Who Among America's Teachers. In addition to her career accomplishments, she is also a mentor and takes part in community choir performances.

Ms. Putney uses a variety of different learning activities to maintain the students' interest and enable them to master the curriculum, and is able to motivate her students to put forth their best effort bringing out their musical talents!
