Don’t you just love a rich satisfying dessert ... especially when it tastes fresh and homemade?
Making something fabulous for dessert does not have to mean the chore of hauling out the electric mixer and all of your measuring utensils!
It really can be as easy as dumping in the ingredients and sliding it into the oven ... like my indulgent, yet simple Fruit Cobbler Cake. It's jam-packed with fruit flavor but with none of the labor!
Easy Fruit Cobbler Cake
1 14-ounce can of crushed pineapple
1 14-ounce can of pie cherries
1 boxed white or yellow cake mix
½ cup butter
1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Pour the pineapple (and its juice) and the cherries into a 9"x11" glass dish. Mix with a spoon.
Sprinkle cake mix evenly over the fruit.
Melt a stick of butter and drizzle over the top.
Sprinkle pecans on top and bake for 30 minutes. (To prevent nuts from browning too much, press them down into the cake mixture before baking).
