97.5 KLAK is proud to recognize LeAnn Bennett, from Bolin Elementary School, as our January 2008 Teacher of the Month.

LeAnn has over 30 years of teaching experience and has taught for the last three and a half years in her current position. She currently holds a BA from Baylor University and an MA from the University of Houston. Ms. Bennett is a member of the American Speech – Language and Hearing Association and has attended numerous conferences and secondary professional training seminars. 

LeAnn Bennett has been recognized many times as an outstanding educator and has been honored as Teacher of the Year for Highlands Elementary, District Teacher of the Year for Ft. Bend Ind. School Dist., ABC Teacher of the Year in Ft. Bend County and an Outstanding Young Educator Nominee in Houston ISD.

Bennett is a wonderful teacher who is calm and caring with her students. She has a strong desire to help students master speech problems. She works with students to learn and develop proper speech techniques. LeAnn’s teaching style is marked with caring innovation.
