Alisa has been a teacher for the last 11 years and has been in her current position for 7 years. She is a graduate of Texas A&M where she received her undergraduate degree and is currently working on 2 masters degrees at Grand Canyon.

In addition to teaching she is a member of the PTA and has had training from TX BESS Mentor & Trainer, the Reading Academy, Write Traits, and has and ESL Certification. Ms. Allen was previously recognized as the 2006-2007 Teacher of the Year within her school.

Alisa teaches students by using positive and motivational techniques. She believes the best way to motivate students is to teach them that what we do today determines our lives tomorrow and for the future.

Ms. Allen also believes in communicating with parents on a regular basis using letters, phone calls and emails. She always follows up with a positive note to both the parent and the student.

For all these reasons we are proud to recognize Ms. Alisa Allen as our 2007 November Teacher of the Month!
