“97.5 KLAK is proud to honor Amanda Tabor from Marion Elementary as our October 2007 Teacher of the Month!”

Ms. Tabor is a Reading and Math teacher at Marion Elementary in Allen, and specializes in educating “at-risk” students. She has taught for over 8 years, 2 of which have been in her current location. Tabor teaches 3^rd, 4^th, 5^th and 6^th grades currently.

Amanda graduated from Texas A&M Commerce with a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies, Specialty in Reading, Certification in Early Childhood & Dance and a Masters in Administration. She is also a member of the Association of Supervision & Curriculum development, TEPSA and Phi Delta Kappa.

In addition to her teaching experience she is also very volunteer oriented. She is a PTA Board member who is active in several ways including: SST core member, Prof. Development, Technology, Campus & Direct Improvement, Strategic Planning and much, much more!

“Ms. Tabor totally commits to her students.” She has the ability to build excellent rapport and relations w/ her students and their parents, and believes that a positive attitude is key to success. She has also always been dedicated to the prospect of “leading by example.”
